Rain stops and starts,
the cool air grows clammy,
then cooler again.

Sun through closed eyelids -
it must be shining
in left-over dreams.

Lightly

The music leaps lightly -
memories of a heart
less heavy.

Hissing

Rain on the window -
a hollow, fretful, clammy,
endless hissing sound.
